A homopolymer is a polymer where every monomer unit (mer) of the chain is the same.
A homopolymer is defined as a polymer that has the same monomer unit in the chain. Examples of homopolymer are PVC with vinyl chloride units, polypropylene with propylene units, Polymethyl-methacrylate.

Homoplymers is the most used material in the BOPP film manufacturing film plants. it is used in main layer and also skin layers and intermediate layers.
Some of common names of homopolymers used in various manufacturing plants.
1) Repol -
Repol H034SG is recommended for use in Oriented Film process. Repol H034SG is suitable for low thickness films and processing on high line speeds. Repol H034SG is the material of choice for BOPP films used in adhesive tapes, food packaging, cigratte & textile overwraps, synthetic paper, etc.

2) IOCL -
PP Homopolymer 1030FG is a natural colored grade produced by the latest Spheripol II Technology with

• Excellent Processability on high speed BOPP lines

Polysure F03RR is Polypropylene Homopolymer, produced by Latest Novolen Technology & Primarily suitable for BOPP Stenter Process Applications. F03RR combines narrow MFR specification range especially for OPP core layers. The product is free from metal stearates and functional additives like slip agents and is therefore in particular suitable for metallisable BOPP film and provides low water-carry-over

4) ADSYL Moplen -
Moplen HP456J is used in extrusion and thermoforming applications. It is formulated with a low water-carry-over additive package. Typical applications are monofilaments, ropes and tapes.
