Pinning-
It meant to air pressure on edges of the castfilm on Chill roll just before the Air knife. It helps to form the proper edges of the film , and to keep it uniform so that these proper edges will work finely, and TDO chain hold it smoothly.
Air Knife-
It help extruded melt ,extracted from die to pasted with chill roll uniformly with entire width. chill roll helps to cool down melt and provide it strength and helps it to further to happen quenching process in water bath.
Take of/Guide Roll
It is located at back side of chill roll as of air knife , and its work is to keep the film in contact of chill roll till the other end also work as guide roll to further moving the film towards swivel roll.
Swivel Roll-
swivel roll work position is inside the water bath. it play main roll to happen quenching process. it keeps the film inside the water for appropriate timing to complete quenching process ad provide strength to film to perform further processes.
Corona Treatment-
A corona treating system is designed to increase the surface energy of plastic films, foils and paper in order to allow improved wettability and adhesion of inks, coatings and adhesives. As a result, the materials treated will demonstrate improved printing and coating quality, and stronger lamination strength.
Principle of Corona Treatment-
Corona treatment is a different form of plasma. It produces plasma by applying enough voltage across two electrodes with air space between them. The high voltage ionizes the air in the gap to produce the corona, which usually looks like a blue flame. Ozone is generated from oxygen in the air in the corona.
Which is better CPP or BOPP ?
CPP can be ultrasonically or thermally sealed without the use of any specialty coatings, whereas BOPP does not heat seal well without the use of specialty heat seal coatings. While BOPP films have better barrier properties than CPP, CPP has better barrier properties than most other polyethylene and PVC films
